Industry explores the legacy of modernist ideals within education, industry, and our evolving digital world. The artist draws connections to influential figures and movements like Kandinsky, Bauhaus, Montessori, and even Ayn Rand. The tactile yet functionless wooden sculptures defy the engaging nature of modern toys, embodying a sense of futility and hinting at humanity's struggle for connection amidst a relentless drive for progress. The artwork's titles, derived from business concepts, create a stark contrast with the sculptures' sophisticated forms, highlighting a naive ambition that often characterises technological innovation. The piece explores the pressures of modern life and the limitations of any alternative.
